AZYKOV KULYA KAZAKBAEVICH
Koluya Kazakbayevich Azikov is a candidate of agricultural Sciences, Honored Worker of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz SSR. He was the director of the Institute of Agriculture from 1963 to 1980. He made a tremendous contribution to the development of agriculture in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Kulya Kazakbayevich Azykov was born in 1911 in the village of Talaa-Bulak, Kochkor district, Naryn region.
In 1927-1929 he studied at the Frunze Agricultural College. In 1929-1932 he graduated from the Central Asian Cotton Institute in Tashkent.
A veteran of the Great Patriotic War of 1939-1945, military rank-senior lieutenant.

He defended his PhD thesis on agricultural economics, is the author of more than 50 scientific papers, scientific supervisor of 8 candidates of sciences.
In 1946-1952 he worked as Deputy People's Commissar of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz SSR for technical crops, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, managing the affairs of the Council of Ministers.
In 1953-54 he headed the agricultural exhibition in the Kyrgyz SSR.
In 1954-1959, he was the manager of agriculture in the Issyk-Kul region.
In 1959-1962, he held the position of First Deputy Minister for the Production and Procurement of agricultural products of the Kyrgyz SSR.
In 1960, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic "problems of the economics of opium production in the collective farms of Kyrgyzstan."
In 1963, he was transferred to the director of the Kyrgyz Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture.
Under his leadership, the system of agriculture in the Kyrgyz SSR was developed, and the book “agricultural cooperation, concentration and development of inter-farm cooperation in agriculture of the Kyrgyz SSR” was published.
In 1978, Azykov Kului Kazakbayevich organized a scientific and production association for agriculture and husbandry. This scientific and production association of K.K. Over the years of Azkov's leadership, 26 new types of food and agricultural crops, more than 30 hybrid varieties of grapes, berries and fruits were introduced and put into production at the institute.
K.K.Azov treated the workers of the Institute of Agriculture with care, built residential buildings, kindergartens, cultural centers.
From 1963 to the end of his life (08/20/1980) He worked as the head of the Kyrgyz Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture.
